Mary Carmichael is the Managing Director of Risk Advisory at Momentum Technology, where she transforms the latest digital disruptions into strategic wins. Over her 15 years in technology risk management, Mary has guided organizations across higher education, utilities, government, and energy, assisting them with everything from assessing cybersecurity maturity and emerging technologies to establishing IT governance models and managing successful cloud transitions. Her goal is to turn risk management into a launchpad for innovation rather than a hurdle to progress.
Beyond her client work, Mary is committed to shaping the future of governance, risk and cybersecurity. As an active member of ISACA Global’s Emerging Trends working group, she explores how Generative AI impacts Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) function, as well as, the broader workplace and society. In addition, Mary serves as President of the ISACA Vancouver Chapter, where her leadership has helped the chapter earn the prestigious 2025 Outstanding Chapter Achievement Award from ISACA Global.
