Daniela Spagnolo is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the Cyber Security Division in Government Information Technology Ontario (GovTechON) at the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery (MPBSD) of the Ontario Public Service (OPS). Responsible for the strategic oversight of over 100 talented professionals–cyber security works to deliver a comprehensive cyber risk management program to predict, identify and address threats to information security—enabling the Ontario government to operate securely and meet its digital service delivery commitments. Daniela brings over 15 years of executive, operational, financial, and relational leadership expertise, stemming from both the public and private sector. Since joining the OPS in 2016, she has held several progressive leadership roles in the Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS) division, most recently as the Telecommunication Services director. Prior to the OPS, she worked for several years in the telecommunications industry in a series of successive management roles in operations or finance. Known by her peers, partners and staff as a pragmatic, collaborative and visionary leader—driven by her authenticity to support an open, diverse and inclusive culture.
