Ferris Adi serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Trans Americas Fiber (TAF), overseeing the company’s global cybersecurity operations and protecting critical infrastructure in the telecommunications sector. With more than 20 years of cybersecurity leadership, Ferris has fortified the digital defences of some of North America’s most prominent organizations, including Aecon, Symcor, TD Bank, Rogers Communications, and the City of Toronto.

Renowned for blending technical expertise with strategic vision, Ferris has significantly impacted by driving large-scale security transformations that align with business goals and industry standards. His work is distinguished by his ability to anticipate emerging threatsand proactively develop solutions that enhance cybersecurity resilience.

Ferris is the author of two influential books on Information Systems Management and Security, which have become essential resources for professionals in the field. His thought leadership extends further through published articles and white papers, including his recent article “Securing Connectivity in the Digital Era,” published in InterGlobix Magazine. Canadian Security magazine also recently interviewed him regarding key cybersecurity trends and challenges.

He holds an MBA from Norwich University, USA, and multiple advanced certifications, including CISSP, CISA, CISM, and CRISC.

As a professor at York University, Ferris is committed to mentoring the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, blending real-world insights with academic knowledge to equip students with practical, industry-relevant skills.
