Manas Giri is an award-winning cybersecurity executive with more than 20 years of experience leading enterprise security transformation, cyber risk governance, and digital resilience across global financial services, aviation, and technology organizations. He is recognized for aligning cybersecurity strategy with business objectives, influencing board-level decision-making, and building high-performing teams that enable secure innovation at scale.
Currently serving as Senior Director, Cybersecurity GRC at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Manas leads the organization’s global Governance, Risk, and Compliance function, overseeing enterprise-wide cyber risk, third-party risk management, regulatory compliance, and security governance across both corporate and product business units.
Previously, as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at WestJet, he led a cybersecurity organization of more than 120 professionals and drove a multi-year transformation that modernized security architecture, advanced Zero Trust adoption, strengthened cyber resilience, and embedded secure-by-design principles across the airline. Earlier leadership roles at BMO Financial Group included directing Identity & Access Management, Payments Security, and Global Third-Party Risk Management, where he successfully led regulatory programs, cloud security initiatives, and industry-wide cybersecurity frameworks.
Throughout his career, Manas has been recognized for delivering measurable business outcomes, including enterprise cyber risk reduction, regulatory excellence, operational resilience, and strategic security investments. His expertise spans cybersecurity strategy, governance, cloud security, identity and access management, third-party risk, security architecture, regulatory compliance, and executive risk communication.
A respected voice within the cybersecurity community, Manas is the recipient of the Top Global CISO Award and multiple CISO leadership recognitions. He serves as Co-Chair of the Evanta Toronto CISO Community, and is an Advisory Board Member for SiberX CISO Forum Canada and NKST Canada. He is also a frequent keynote speaker, panelist, and moderator at leading cybersecurity conferences, where he shares insights on cyber resilience, governance, AI security, and executive leadership.
Manas holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (IIITM), Gwalior, and maintains several globally recognized certifications, including CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CISA, CEH, and ISO 27001 Lead Implementer.
