Thais Ramos is a lawyer by background, having since transitioned into privacy, risk management, and compliance, becoming a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) through IAPP and a Certified Information Systems Auditor®️ (CISA®️) through ISACA.
With a strong foundation in legal expertise, Thais has been a driving force in multinational corporations, pioneering best-in-class programs that set industry standards. She has also demonstrated leadership in the privacy community, serving as KnowledgeNet Chair for IAPP’s Rio de Janeiro chapter, as a member of IAPP’s Women Leading Privacy Advisory Board, and as part of IAPP’s CDPO/BR Certification Exam Development and Review Team.
Since 2021, Thais has been focused in designing the framework, processes and now managing UBC -University of British Columbia’s PrISM (Privacy and Information Security Management) Compliance Program. She provides mentorship to fellow professionals through Maple Road Consulting.
She is also actively engaged in the ISACA SheLeadsTech initiative, empowering women in the industry by fostering leadership opportunities and promoting diversity in technology and cybersecurity.
