Ryan Hartman is the Director of Information Security for Kingston Health Sciences Centre. With over 20 years of experience in IT and 8 years in a dedicated Infosec role, Ryan helped lead the creation of KHSC’s Information Security program and the implementation of many of the same capabilities that have since been designated as critical controls by Ontario Health. Ryan holds a CISSP certification further supplemented by CIPP/C and CIPP/T privacy training. Ryan is passionate about cybersecurity and has been pulled out of his shell with a handful of previous conference speaking engagements, guest lectures at St. Lawrence College in Kingston and even a prior journal publication that continues to generate fresh spam to this day. Outside of work and computers, Ryan enjoys cosplaying as a rural Canadian and all the hobbies that go along with it.
